Managing our digital memories has never been easier since Facebook released the timeline. Its sentimental theme allows us to see a chronological stream of photos, life events and Facebook interactions that tell our story over a lifetime. Flicking through our past Facebook activity is like watching our life played back to us in technicolor and emoticons, in a wave of exotic, Facebook musings that can often represent nothing at all of our actual lives.
Yet, in all its glory, it could be presented better. Consequently, Facebook and design agency Definition6 decided that this flashback of our most treasured memories just wasn’t enough and so they decided to make a Timeline Movie Maker, allowing users to make their own life story into a film.
The app, when given access to our page, takes all the posts and transforms them into a nostalgia induced movie, complete with special effects and a choice of melodies to go along with your life’s theme.
After the movie is made, you can watch it on repeat to your heart’s content or change any photos that aren’t to your liking, swapping them with your favourite, most flattering and joyous moments.
The video can also be shared with all your friends so that they can see what fun you’ve had since your Facebook life officially began.
