Cadbury’s Giant ‘Thumbs Up’

Cadburys have kept true to form and celebrated reaching the 1 million fan mark last week by creating nothing other than a giant chocolate ‘like’ button.

The official Cadbury Dairy Milk UK Facebook page reached the social media milestone on January 7th and their newfound online community of chocolate addicts were teased with their plans in the lead up to the big One Million.

As the plan of a giant chocolate hand came together, videos were slowly uploaded to show the progress of the sculpture, whilst a two day live stream was broadcast via Facebook, allowing fans to cheer on workers and personalise their very own piece of choc.

The celebration is part of the ‘always on’ approach that Cadbury has adopted to engage fans and build a stronger relationship. The Cadbury Dairy Milk UK Facebook page receives an impressive amount of fan interaction with its audience through many of the various activities run online in the past year. These ideas allow fans to benefit from rich experiences that bring them closer to product creation.
